Battleground New York - Congressional District Field Supervisor
Position Overview
On behalf of Battleground New York, Grossman Solutions is hiring Congressional District Field Supervisors to oversee and manage a district wide paid canvass campaign. The Congressional District Field Supervisor will manage a team of Deputies and hourly canvassers working in Congressional Districts 4, 17, 19, and 22 in New York.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in campaign field program management, designing door-to-door canvass programs, and leading a distributed staff. Field Supervisors will work collaboratively with the Deputy Campaign Manager, Data and Targeting Director, and the Operations Director to build the campaign from the ground up.
The pay range for this position is $7,000 to $9,000, per month based on qualifications, experience, and location. The benefits package includes a health insurance stipend, cell phone stipend and mileage stipend.

Job Responsibilities
- Work with Battleground NY team to hire, train, and manage a team of canvassers for door-to-door voter turnout and phone banking
- Coordinate daily staffing needs and construct effective canvass schedules that meet daily and weekly goals
- Work with data director to do strategic targeting and help plan daily tactics and turf
- Enforce quality control measures to ensure the integrity of all data collected through canvass activities
- Use VAN and other programs to ensure accurate and timely data entry
- Ensure that the needs of the canvass program are being met; recommend and adjust program tactics as needed
- Conduct regular staff evaluations. Work with HR staff to resolve any personnel and performance issues
- Collect, analyze, and report qualitative learnings and data gathered by canvassers in the field about the effectiveness of their scripts and voter reactions to messaging
- Collaborate with the volunteer team to work together when appropriate
- Represent the campaign with professionalism and ethical conduct
Qualifications
- At least 4 cycles of experience working on issue-based or political campaigns and prior experience working with canvassers
- Demonstrated ability to connect with diverse communities and move people to action
- Proven ability to be flexible and work under pressure in a fast-moving environment
- Strong leadership qualities and experience managing staff
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Proficiency using VAN (Voter Activation Network)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly
- Demonstrated success in metrics-driven positions
- Must have car and valid driver’s license
- Experience working in New York is preferred.
Location
The Congressional District Field Supervisors will be based in a field office in their assigned districts (CD 4, 17, 19, 22) and will travel throughout the district to support canvassers as needed. Please specify in your cover letter your preferred district
